Classes

Currently looking for another student for a Wednesday night open tutoring session. You'll be sharing the bench with a student learning restoration and leather binding techniques. 3 hours per session, $75 a night.

Current course offerings include The Pamphlet Stitch and Pamphlet Binding, Flatback Case Binding, Sewing on Tapes and Cords and the Multi-section Hardcover Book, Boxmaking and Enclosures, 1/4 and 1/2 Leather Binding, Full Leather Binding, Restoration of Cloth Bindings,and Restoration of Leather Bindings.

There is worktable space for a group of six. If you would like to organize your own group, a variety of skills and techniques, beginning to advanced, can be taught. If just a one day workshop is desired, simple pamphlet and small book projects may be completed in a single session.

Spring 2009: Half-leather bindings. 5 weeks starting with folding signatures and ending with a lettered and tooled book with leather spine and corners. February 21st through March 28th, Saturday Mornings 9:30-12:30. Cost including materials $300. Contact us for important details!
