County Deed & Record Books

     We’ve restored a variety of county records, with repairs ranging from light mending of tears to complete rebinding in period style to the creation of archival structures for preserving individual leaves.

     This book of deeds from a Tennessee county’s archives could have been rebuilt with the original boards, but it was felt that the leather had deteriorated far enough that a new binding was called for. After mending and resewing on cloth tapes, we rebound in calf and tooled as the original.
