18th Century Full Calf Blank Book
$710.00
1 in stock
Blank book bound in an 18th century style with a textblock of light cream white 60# Mohawk Via Vellum. This paper has a lightly toothy finish perfect for writing in a variety of inks. Sewn on five raised cords, an immensely sturdy method of sewing used up through the early 1800’s. The top edge has been faux gilt and gauffered, a decorative technique for tooling page edges. The fore edge and bottom edge have been left rough, sections opened by hand to give a deckled feel. Handsewn headbands in green and red over a round core, laced in boards, and bound in traditionally tanned calf. Tooled in blind. A leather label can be titled to suit for an additional $50. (Please inquire.)
