U.S. Capitol Visitor Center Project
The U.S. Capitol Visitor Center commissioned a copy of the U.S. Senate’s ledger for “Compensation to the Senators of the United States, Second Congress” dated 1791. Provided with pictures and measurements, we were able to digitally correct curvatures in the photos, output copies of the pages to handmade paper, tone and age to match the originals, and bind the facsimile in a springback ledger style. Note the signature of John Adams at the bottom right!
